assalaamualaikum..
here goes the first recipe...when i read it in some book years ago...it was called banana pancake..i remember bits of..it...but trust me..this will always test good..will tell the reason in the end.
.i dont know how to give exact quantity..so..everything..is..."upto your taste"
what you need is,
banana=നേന്ത്രപഴം
grated cocunut
cashewnut..crushd into pieces
raisins(personally dont prefer it)
cardomom(open the pod n take the seeds..)
sugar
vanilla/rose essence(both give good results,though dif taste)
maida or plain flour
egg/eggs
sugar(not necessary,if u hav sweet tooth like me ,add it)
pinch of salt
water
for the filling..
cut the bananas to round slices(approx 1cm thick).
put it in a pan.add water just to touch the top..add sugar..bring to boil..
when it goes glum glum glum 4 sometime...add rest of the things...EXCEPT COCONUT..
so ther goes in cashew nut,raisins,cardomom powder,vanilla/rose essence..mix it all well
when the bananas are cooked..switch it of
it you have excess water,drain it off..(use it as sugar+water substitute in pancake mixture)
now..mash the bananas well n uniform..add the grater cocunut...n mix it all up...tadaa your filling is ready..
mix maida,salk,sugar..add egg,mix.add water and mix it all well to form bit watery-thick kinda paste.
kp frying pan on heat.take a big spoon or tawi full of above mix.spread it evenly and make a "appam"
wn it starts leaving from the pan,keep a spoon full of filling in the centre,,roll it and make it to spring roll kinda shape...repeat till all ua fillin get over...if not...eat the fillin alone its..yummy too..
either eat it as a single big roll or cut it down to bite size pieces
forgot...add bit of ghee on pan before making pancake..
thats it..
NOW REASON Y..THIS WILL BE ALWAYS TASTY...
banana,grated coconut n sugar...is a GREAT COMBINATION..make it to a ball n deep fry it..its tasty
bake it ,its tasty...eat it..raw...ITS STILL YUMMY..!!!..
its like our malabar ramdan snack..unnakaaya..!!
